The Back Cove School
The Back Cove School is a childcare center in Portland, ME that provides children with a strong educational and social foundation. We prepare children to excel at tasks that they will face in elementary school. Children are encouraged to play, imagine, and grow their unique personalities.
Programs
Infant
The Back Cove School welcomes infants as young as six weeks old. Infants eat, sleep, and play in this calm environment. They begin to develop both gross and fine motor skills.
Toddler
The toddler program is for children two years old and up. In this program, toddlers are encouraged to become more imaginative, social, and independent. This program allows toddlers to start expanding their personalities and build friendships.
Pre-School
The pre-school program prepares students for elementary school. This program introduces preschoolers to reading, writing, and other skills needed for them to be ready for kindergarten. Preschoolers are also given the opportunity to explore and expand their social skills by creating friendships.

Our three children have been enrolled at The Back Cove School for the past 11 years in their infant, toddler, preschool and summer programs.
